Banner Health, a nonprofit health system with 23 hospitals across seven states serving both urban centers and remote towns, faced persistent shortages of nurses and other clinical staff and struggled to recruit for hard-to-fill roles in isolated communities. The recruiting team needed a more effective way to attract qualified candidates for positions in places like Fairbanks, AK, Fallon, NV, and Page, AZ.

By sponsoring jobs on Indeed and integrating results with their iCIMS applicant-tracking system, Banner Health grew monthly Indeed-driven visits from about 1,000 to over 20,000 and saw higher-quality applicants. Over a 10-month period Indeed delivered the lowest cost per applicant (70% less) and cost per hire (65% less) than other sources, produced twice as many hires as the next most productive source, and helped fill key roles such as registered nurses, respiratory therapists, and medical imaging staff.
