Supermassive Games, a BAFTA-winning independent studio best known for Until Dawn and recent PlayStation VR titles, needed faster, more reliable builds to support rapid iteration and daily reviews after moving to Unreal Engine 4. The team required the latest executables from their continuous integration system to be available quickly for regular review, so they turned to Incredibuild for a build-acceleration solution.

Incredibuild was integrated across the studio and onto automated build machines to accelerate both code and shader compilation for Unreal Engine 4. The result: compiles are now about 4× faster (both code and shaders drop to under 10 minutes from ~40 minutes), enabling roughly 25 builds per day per project, shortening continuous delivery cycles and materially boosting developer productivity.
