Case Study: Movavi cuts build and testing time from 80 to 20 minutes with Incredibuild

A Incredibuild Case Study

Preview of the Movavi Case Study

Movavi revolutionized its build and testing times from 80 to 20 minutes with just 12 workstations and 2 build servers

Movavi, a maker of video and photo software sold in over 150 countries, faced long CMake/Visual Studio build times (around 80 minutes) that delayed QA, hindered Jenkins-based continuous integration, and forced developers to keep multiple repository copies to cope with slow Git branch switching. To solve this, Movavi turned to Incredibuild for distributed build acceleration.

Using Incredibuild across 12 workstations and two 8‑core build servers to form a 112‑core virtual super‑computer, Movavi cut single-build time from 80 to 20 minutes, reduced average daily build time from 20 to 5 hours, and saved more than 15 cumulative developer-hours per day (about one developer’s worth of productivity). Incredibuild’s acceleration also sped up Jenkins builds, enabled more frequent builds and earlier testing, and made branch switching and QA cycles much faster.
