Orderbase, a developer of ERP software and add-ons for Microsoft Dynamics, faced slow Visual Studio C++ build times on over 300k lines of code that disrupted developer flow and productivity. To address long compilation waits that hurt iteration speed, Orderbase turned to Incredibuild to accelerate builds across developer workstations and server VMs.

Incredibuild’s distributed build solution was implemented by Orderbase’s small team, cutting single compilation time from about 13 minutes to 2 minutes (roughly 85% faster) and reducing daily compilation time from around 3 hours to 30 minutes. By using Incredibuild, Orderbase compiles up to 30 times a day (about 15 on average), doubled developer efficiency, and saved the equivalent of a team’s worth of hardware and time.
