Sarine Technologies, developer of the Advisor optimizer used to plan and maximize value from rough diamonds, confronted very long optimization runtimes—simple runs could take minutes but sophisticated analyses required 40–60 hours—limiting the use of richer search parameters and slowing the diamond manufacturing lifecycle. To accelerate Advisor while keeping customer data private and scalable for future engines, Sarine chose Incredibuild’s distributed/private-cloud acceleration technology.

Incredibuild was integrated into Advisor (using its XML interface and a macro-task batching approach) in under a month, enabling parallel execution of hundreds of thousands of tasks across a grid. The Incredibuild solution delivered 6x–30x speedups: full optimizations dropped from 40–60 hours to about 50–120 minutes, and simple processes fell from 1–2 hours to 10–15 minutes. The faster runtimes let Sarine add complexity to analyses, increase customer profitability, eliminate bottlenecks, and capture new time-sensitive market opportunities.
