Mobile gaming app blocks fraudsters using location spoofing detection and trusted device intelligence

Leading Social Gaming Mobile App Company, a social gaming mobile app with 70M+ active users, faced rampant collusion and location‑spoofing fraud that undermined geofencing compliance and fair play. To detect GPS spoofing, multi‑account and multi‑device abuse, the product team selected Incognia’s Location Spoofing Detection and Trusted Device Intelligence (Incognia SDK) to provide precise location identity and device integrity checks.

Incognia implemented an SDK plus five custom fraud watchlists and returned LOW/HIGH risk assessments with evidentiary data while preserving user privacy. In a 30‑day evaluation on 3.1M users Incognia produced risk assessments for 94.3% of users with location permission, flagged 50K+ suspicious accounts (~1.8%)—including 5K+ GPS‑spoofing cases, 13K+ suspicious‑device accounts and 30K+ accounts with multiple installations—and the solution was rolled out to all 70M users, stopping systematic collusion.
