Klar, a Mexican fintech, faced the challenge of expanding financial inclusion to a population largely excluded from traditional banking due to a lack of credit history or formal documentation. To onboard users across all ages and technical abilities securely, they partnered with Incode to implement its identity verification product.

Incode's solution used advanced document analysis to verify Mexico's national ID (INE) and effortless facial biometrics with passive liveness from a selfie. This allowed Klar to instantly and securely onboard true first-time users. The results included doubling student approvals and enabling new users to access credit, with a reported 0% more credit access for users with little or no credit history.
