Venus ISD, a growing school district in Texas, was struggling to manage a rapid 1:1 device rollout after COVID-19. With about 250 damaged devices returned and little record of who had used them, the technology team was relying on spreadsheets and needed a better way to track student device ownership, condition, and history. Incident IQ helped the district move away from disconnected tracking methods and toward a more reliable system for asset management and help ticketing.
Using Incident IQ’s asset management, help desk, Fee Tracker, and screen recording tools, Venus ISD improved visibility into device assignments, locations, and conditions while adding accountability to repairs and collections. The district also integrated data from systems like SCCM, Active Directory, Google, and Skyward, making workflows more efficient for IT and easier for teachers and staff to submit tickets. According to the case study, the team’s workflow became much more concise and easier to use, with fewer inventory surprises expected through touchless auditing and better device verification.
