Calcasieu Parish School Board, a preK-12 district serving more than 30,000 students in Southwest Louisiana, needed a better way to manage help desk tickets, asset tracking, and a rapidly expanding one-to-one device program after the disruptions of COVID-19 and two hurricanes. Its old, homegrown system could not scale to support the district’s growing IT demands, and the team was also tasked with taking over fixed assets.
To solve these challenges, Calcasieu Parish School Board implemented Incident IQ, using its K-12 workflow management platform, Rollout Scout for device deployment and checkout, and Fee Tracker for managing damaged-device fees. Incident IQ also integrated with Microsoft Intune and other district data to streamline support, reporting, and analytics. The results included smoother device check-in/check-out across schools, easier ticket resolution, faster state reporting, and enough actionable data to help the district secure seven additional IT positions from the board.
