Beaufort Memorial Hospital, a 197‑bed regional referral center in Beaufort, South Carolina with about 1,300 staff, faced insecure clinician texting, HIPAA compliance risks, and an increasingly costly, inefficient legacy communications system that limited mobility and clinical collaboration.
