A Imprivata Case Study
Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) is a not-for-profit community health system with five hospital campuses, 850+ beds and more than 11,000 employees. Confronted by a disjointed mix of legacy communications—pagers, cordless phones, switchboards and siloed messaging—NGHS set out to become a mobile-first organization, unify and modernize communications, protect PHI, and simplify operations.
NGHS deployed Imprivata’s digital identity platform (identity governance, SSO, and Mobile Access & Control) to enable identity-based routing, secure shared and BYOD endpoints, and cloud-based device management. The change automated communications and role-based routing, improved clinician productivity and satisfaction, deployed ~3,600 shared devices used by about 5,700 daily users, reduced CAPEX, provided automated device provisioning/wiping and asset visibility, and accelerated mobile adoption while lowering risk.
