Northeast Georgia Health System equips 3,600 shared mobile devices with Imprivata

Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) faced the challenge of modernizing its disjointed legacy communications systems, which included conventional phones, pagers, and proprietary tools that impeded clinical productivity and critical communications. To transform into a mobile-first organization, NGHS partnered with Imprivata to unify its systems, optimize user experience, and safeguard protected health information.

Imprivata implemented its digital identity solutions, including Mobile Access Management, to provide an identity-based approach. This streamlined workflows by automatically directing calls and messages to the right device based on a user's role or name. The solution improved collaboration and mobile productivity, saved clinicians time, and enhanced patient care. NGHS deployed nearly 3,600 shared mobile devices, which are used by about 5,700 staff daily, helping to contain capital expenses while ensuring security and compliance.
