A Imprivata Case Study

Imprivata powers 24/7 public services in Denmark

Hedensted Kommune is a regional public administration in Jutland, Denmark, serving about 50,000 citizens with 2,500 staff. The council’s IT team and employees were stretched by frequent, often out-of-hours password resets and outdated, insecure devices that hindered fast, face-to-face citizen services—while modern technology was also needed to attract and retain quality staff.

Hedensted deployed Imprivata integrated with Citrix and their existing RFID tokens, piloting then rolling the solution out across almost all 2,500 users. The single sign-on No Click Access® eliminated the password-reset burden (helpdesk password calls dropped from an average of 17 per person per day to zero), sped access for mobile staff, enabled secure 24/7 service delivery, and turned security into an enabler for improved citizen and employee experiences.
