Unity needed faster, more interactive access to streaming analytics data to support dashboard performance and exploration without requiring SQL expertise. Working with Imply and its Pivot interface, the team sought a way for non-SQL users to query high-volume event data in real time.

Imply implemented a Druid-based solution with Imply Pivot, allowing users to drop fields and generate queries without writing SQL. The result was a major performance boost: query latency dropped from an average of 35 seconds to under 5 seconds, while the system handled 600,000 events per second and up to 1.5 million events per second at peak times.
