Ippen Digital, a subsidiary of the Ippen Publishing Group in Germany, needed a stable, automated analytics engine to handle heavy real-time traffic and large-scale aggregation for its content, subscriptions and advertising platform. After running open-source Druid themselves, they engaged Imply to provide production-grade Druid operations and tooling (including Imply’s platform and Pivot) to avoid a fragmented “data swamp” and enable real-time access to all data.

Imply implemented a compact data application architecture alongside Kafka and TigerGraph, ingesting 100% of streaming data into Imply for storage, querying and presentation. The solution enabled machine learning workflows (feeding JupyterHub), launched a new revenue stream, increased self-service analytics users by 30x, and reduced costs by 25% while improving performance — all driven by Imply.
