How Twitch Used Imply to Build Self-Service Analytics

Twitch, the live streaming platform, needed a way to give hundreds of internal users real-time visibility into usage and performance data at massive scale. Using Imply Pivot and Apache Druid, Twitch could support self-service analytics for a large portion of the company while keeping query performance fast enough for interactive exploration.

Imply helped Twitch ingest about 80 billion events per day and serve roughly 70,000 queries daily to 500+ internal users with response times under 500 ms. The result was a real-time analytics environment that let teams track usage and performance trends instantly, while also creating room to add more data sources, dimensions, and measures over time.
