Charter Creates a Single, Real-time Version of the Truth with Imply

Charter Communications, a leading broadband and cable operator serving over 30 million customers under the Spectrum brand, needed a single, real-time “version of the truth” to instrument, collect, and continuously analyze platform performance and customer experience. After evaluating several technologies, Charter selected the Imply platform and the services of the Imply team to replace its previous system and enable real-time analytics at scale.

Imply migrated Charter’s core network analytics to its platform and provided development and support services that enabled real-time ownership and experimentation. The deployment produced measurable gains: ~10x increase in data storage (~200 TB), average message throughput roughly doubled (to about 50k messages/sec) with bursts of 100–150k/sec, more predictable monitoring and operations with most issues resolved in minutes, and a shift of more data into “hot” and “warm” tiers for faster, interactive insights.
