A Imperva Case Study
SOKA-BAU, a Wiesbaden-based benefits and pension insurer serving 70,000 German construction companies and more than 650,000 workers, needed to expose self-service web applications to the Internet while protecting sensitive compensation and financial data. The organization required a security solution that could handle high scale and availability, a heterogeneous mix of databases and application servers, and minimal disruption to production systems.
After testing, SOKA-BAU deployed Imperva SecureSphere—three Database Security Gateways with integrated Web Application Firewall and an MX Management Server—for centralized administration. SecureSphere delivered deep monitoring and granular query filtering, integrated without complex changes, and now blocks hundreds of attacks per day while providing a high-performance, scalable, and low-maintenance security posture.
