National Bankcard Services (NBS), a Minnesota-based payment processor for petroleum and convenience retailers, needed to protect an online portal that delivers sensitive sales and payment data to its customers. Faced with PCI DSS 6.6 application-layer requirements, a small IT staff, and time-consuming manual code reviews, NBS sought a proven, easy-to-manage application security solution to prevent unauthorized access and data theft.

NBS deployed Imperva SecureSphere SE as an inline Web Application Firewall, using Dynamic Profiling and Correlated Attack Validation to automate tuning, minimize false positives, and generate compliance reports.
