Large Healthcare Organization, one of the country’s largest nonprofit healthcare systems, needed to better protect sensitive patient data across a sprawling environment of hospitals, academic medical centers, cloud systems, and more than 780 databases. After a data security incident, the organization worked with Imperva and partner Network Consulting Services, Inc. to shift from general perimeter defense to a data-focused strategy, prioritizing its highest-risk “crown jewels.”

Imperva Data Security was deployed in phases, with 20 key database servers covered in the first three months while the broader architecture was built out. Imperva’s machine learning and behavior analytics reduced 45 billion daily event alerts to 150 critical alerts, helping the team monitor access in real time, improve compliance reporting, and avoid millions of dollars in Splunk SIEM licensing fees.
