NTT TechnoCross, a subsidiary of NTT that provides advanced IT, security and cloud services, relied on its website as the centerpiece of its B2B branding and digital marketing. Facing growing cloud demand and increasingly sophisticated global threats (including DDoS), the two-person team running the site could no longer manage threat investigation, testing and response in-house, and needed a fast, service-based security solution that supported IPv6 and custom policies.
NTT TechnoCross selected Imperva Incapsula — the only cloud WAF that met its requirements — and completed implementation in about 1.5 months, launching with the renewed site in March 2015. The service stabilized the website, significantly reduced operational load (allowing one staff member to be redeployed), delivered multi-million-yen annual labor savings, provided rapid support responses, and continued to add needed features such as IPv6 compatibility.
