A Imperva Case Study
PSCU, a credit union service organization supporting nearly 700 credit unions, faced the challenge of protecting regulated cardholder and other sensitive data from advanced, targeted attacks that can bypass perimeter defenses and compromise privileged users. Although tokenization and encryption were in place, PSCU lacked real-time visibility into database access and malware on endpoints and needed the ability to monitor and block suspicious activity immediately.
PSCU implemented Imperva Data Security for real-time database auditing and FireEye for malware detection, leveraging their integration to pass infected-host intelligence from FireEye to Imperva to automatically block compromised devices from accessing critical data. The joint solution delivered an end-to-end incident response—real-time malware detection, selective isolation of infected endpoints, stronger forensic trails, and reduced risk to regulated and sensitive information.
