A Imperva Case Study
Covelli Enterprises, the largest franchisee of Panera Breads and O’Charley’s based in Warren, Ohio (25,000 employees), discovered persistent access attempts to its web servers that hosted web-based email, company reports and business intelligence. Foreign IPs repeatedly tried to install pages and exploit web applications (SQL injection, XSS), and an IPS proved insufficient, so Covelli needed a way to block web-focused attacks, monitor traffic, and prevent unauthorized access.
Covelli deployed Imperva SecureSphere Web Application Firewall with ThreatRadar reputation services to block known malicious IPs, stop automated attacks and code injection, and log activity for security and audit. The implementation delivered an easy-to-use, cost-effective defense that shields Covelli’s web applications from industrialized attacks worldwide and gave the security team greater confidence in preventing data theft.
