Armor Protects Websites and Web Applications with Imperva SecureSphere

Armor (formerly FireHost) is a security-focused managed hosting provider that needed to close a gap at the application layer to protect customer websites and web applications. The company required a web application firewall with extremely low false positives, centralized and hierarchical multi-tenant management, granular policy control for packaged and custom apps, and multi-gigabit performance to scale across tens of thousands of sites.

Armor deployed the Imperva SecureSphere Web Application Firewall, using its centralized dashboard, hierarchical policies and detailed reporting to tune protections for groups and individual applications. SecureSphere stopped common application-layer attacks (SQL injection, XSS), helped convert threat reports into remediation policies, and supported PCI, HIPAA and SOX compliance—giving Armor scalable, accurate protection and greater confidence for its customers.
