Truckee Meadows Community College - Customer Case Study

Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC), a four‑campus college in Reno, Nevada serving about 1,200 students on roughly 1,500 devices, faced a pressing classroom‑management challenge after their previous solution, Smart Sync, was discontinued and no longer supported newer Windows and macOS versions. TMCC needed a well‑supported product to maintain teaching continuity and device management, and selected Impero Software’s Impero Education Pro as the replacement.

Impero Software provided an evaluation copy and worked with TMCC’s IT team to deploy Impero Education Pro across all four campuses, enabling remote control of machines, live thumbnail views, screen broadcasting and locking, and real‑time internet monitoring. The rollout—supported by Impero’s technical team—now allows IT to manage up to 1,500 devices from one location (avoiding travel of up to 20 miles between campuses), speeds technical fixes, gives teachers stronger classroom control, and improves rapid response to inappropriate online activity.
