Sigma Financial Group, a UK provider of customer contact services, needed a secure and PCI-compliant way to manage frequent remote access for software vendors. After issues with a mix of tools like TeamViewer and LogMeIn, and a PCI audit exposing weaknesses, Sigma evaluated Impero Software’s Impero Connect remote access solution.
Impero Software implemented Impero Connect to provide two-factor authenticated vendor access, full session logging, screen recording, and centralized account management through an online portal. The result was a more secure, auditable remote access process that met PCI DSS requirements, improved control over vendor activity, and was successful enough for Sigma to expand use of the solution beyond vendors to selected employee workstation access.
