A Impero Software Case Study
North East School Division, a Saskatchewan school district serving 5,000 Pre K–12 students across 20 sites and roughly 4,000 devices, needed a way to control and monitor student digital access on Windows PCs, laptops, iPads and Chromebooks. After finding their previous open-source classroom suite required time-consuming manual setup and didn’t fully address classroom behavior, they chose Impero Software and its Impero Education Pro to provide centralized, cross-platform classroom management.
Impero Software implemented Impero Education Pro using Active Directory integration to auto-create groups and classrooms, with the vendor’s support team installing the system on a VM and the division deploying the client via SCCM to all 20 schools—fully up and running within a couple of days. The solution gave teachers live thumbnail views, keyword detection and activity logs across 4,000 devices so they can address issues in real time, use screenshots as evidence, reset passwords and proxy accounts themselves, and free IT to focus on other tasks—delivering clear time savings, improved classroom control and stronger digital citizenship.
