Gates County Schools - Customer Case Study

Gates County Schools, a K–12 district in Gates County, North Carolina, needed a replacement for the SMARTSync classroom management software that had been discontinued. Supporting about 150 PC workstations across four labs on two campuses, the district selected Impero Software’s Impero Education Pro to meet its classroom technology management needs.

Impero Software implemented Impero Education Pro in September 2015 (piloted in one lab, then rolled out district-wide within two months), delivering features like instant messaging, screen sharing, polling, website/application blocking, thumbnail monitoring, and screenshots/recordings. The deployment now supports all labs and 150 student PCs, enabling teachers to monitor and assist large classes simultaneously, reduce distractions, speed up whole-class remediation, and document unsafe activity—results the district credits to Impero Software’s solution.
