Egg Harbor Township School District - Customer Case Study

Egg Harbor Township School District, a New Jersey Pre-K–12 district serving about 7,500 students across eight sites and 1,000+ devices, needed a cost‑effective way to monitor and manage classroom Windows PCs as well as Chromebooks and iPads. With no existing network monitoring, IT staff were required to supervise tech lessons and teachers lacked real‑time classroom controls, so the district selected Impero Software and its Impero Education Pro solution for comprehensive lab management and student monitoring.

Impero Software deployed Impero Education Pro to provide live monitoring, screen locking, internet restrictions and remote power scheduling across labs and classrooms. The solution decentralized administration—empowering teachers to manage 20–30 lab machines without IT intervention—reduced IT workload, and supported the district’s energy strategy by scheduling machines to power on/off, a change the district reports has cut electricity waste and contributed to millions of dollars in savings while helping several schools achieve sustainability certifications.
