Revolut, the fintech “super app” for everyday banking and international payments, needed a credible way to scale customer acquisition and disrupt the finance sector. Rather than rely solely on digital marketing, Revolut aimed to convert existing customers into trusted ambassador partners, set targets to double acquisition and onboard 1,000 active partners in 2019, and sought automation to remove manual bottlenecks.
Working with Impact’s Partnership Cloud, Revolut automated onboarding, invoicing, tracking and payouts, tapped its customer base for ambassadors (nearly 3,000 applications in a week, 42% accepted), and built API integrations and regional segmentation for scale. The program became the UK’s largest referral network—over 6,000 active partners—delivering 700% YoY incremental customer growth, saving 160+ hours/month of manual work, and establishing a single source of truth for partner performance.
