B&Q exceeded its CTR benchmark with an influencer program makeover

B&Q, the UK’s leading home improvement and garden retailer, wanted to inspire budget-friendly home renovations but needed help recruiting the right creators and tracking performance to ensure strong ROI. The team sought a more structured influencer program to reach target audiences with relatable, affordable DIY content.

Using impact.com’s Creator platform, B&Q recruited four home-improvement creators and briefed them to produce UGC (Reels, Stories, carousels) tied to clear KPIs. The campaign delivered a 60% average view rate (double target), 2% engagement (0.5% above target) and a 200% uplift in CTR (tripling the benchmark), plus strong social traction across creators with a 522k+ combined following, 1.5k+ comments, 12k+ likes and 677 saves — and led to ongoing creator partnerships and extra organic content.
