Barkbox, a subscription service that delivers treats and toys to dogs and their owners, partnered with animal shelters to sell boxes to new puppy parents and donate commissions to rescues. The program was popular but managing communications, logistics and quarterly checks for thousands of independent, volunteer-run organizations became a time-consuming headache.

Barkbox moved the initiative onto the Impact platform, enabling automated payouts, real-time fundraising tracking and streamlined shelter onboarding and creative asset distribution. The change supported 400+ onboarded shelters, drove a 32% YoY revenue lift on National Dog Day, resulted in $96k donated to rescues, and helped partners like Stray from the Heart become top-performing affiliates while significantly reducing administrative burden.
