Case Study: Save the Children builds emergency operations capability with Impact International

A Impact International Case Study

Preview of the Save the Children Case Study

Save the Children - Customer Case Study

Save the Children, the international NGO focused on children’s rights and humanitarian relief, needed to expand its disaster-response expertise and build stronger internal surge capacity. To support this challenge, the organisation enlisted Impact International and its Relief and Development Group to conduct a real-time evaluation of its six-month Emergency Operations Programme (EOP), including the final Advanced Field Training (AFT) exercise.

Impact International embedded a consultant into the eight-day AFT simulation to act as trainer, facilitator, observer and reviewer, giving Save the Children live, evidence-based feedback on strategy and operations. The evaluation produced wide-ranging recommendations that strengthened the programme’s emergency operations capability, helped position it as a benchmark for humanitarian training, and aligned it more closely with Save the Children’s leadership development strategy.
