Premier Farnell, a leading multi-channel global distributor, wanted to strengthen its leadership culture after its 2007 employee survey highlighted opportunities to improve inspirational leadership across the business. To address this, it partnered with Impact International to build leadership capability and capacity through a modular experiential learning programme called One Extra Degree.

Impact International designed and delivered One Extra Degree as a global leadership development suite focused on personal effectiveness, leading teams through change, coaching others, and aligning behaviours to Premier Farnell’s competency framework. The programme has delivered 110 modules in five languages to more than 400 managers, with 87% saying it directly benefited their work and an average 32% increase in leadership capability in targeted areas; 86% of line managers also reported positive change in their leaders.
