Case Study: ING develops future banking leaders with Impact International

A Impact International Case Study

Preview of the ING Case Study

ING - Customer Case Study

ING, a global financial institution with a strong European base, needed a way to develop around 160 high-potential graduates each year across 14 countries into future banking leaders. To support its International Talent Programme, ING worked with Impact International to deliver a structured personal skills curriculum alongside the wider four-year learning journey, helping trainees build self-awareness, communication, teamwork and leadership capabilities.

Impact International designed and delivered the program through a series of global learning events and mixed-format development, including webinars, online pre-work and face-to-face experiential sessions. The four-year journey progressed from self-awareness and influence in year one to teamwork in year two, stakeholder management and performance in year three, and leadership and resilience in year four. The results were strong: 95% of graduates stayed at ING for more than five years, 50 graduates moved into senior management or were on that path, and participants reported major gains in self-awareness, team impact, motivation skills and ownership of their careers.
