EMC Corporation, a global leader in IT transformation, needed to strengthen its succession plan after a major organizational change and the recruitment of key talent from outside the company. To help unite new and existing leaders and build a stronger top management pipeline, EMC worked with vendor Impact International on a leadership development programme for its top managers.
Impact International designed and delivered an eight-month talent development programme for EMC’s Italian board-level talent pool. The programme combined self-awareness, team leadership, and strategic business challenges, supported by coaching and senior manager involvement. As a result, 20% of participants moved into top management roles within six months, and all participants developed a more cooperative way of working that helped break down departmental barriers.
