University of Portland Reports RecordBreaking Day on #GivingTuesday

University of Portland, a private Catholic university in Oregon, launched its first one-day fundraising campaign for Giving Tuesday 2016 with a goal of securing 100 new gifts in 24 hours. To support the effort, vendor iModules provided its Encompass website content management system, online giving, and email marketing tools.

iModules helped University of Portland create a Giving Tuesday campaign page with real-time gift totals, a customized online giving form, targeted email outreach, and coordinated social media and campus promotion. The campaign was a record-breaking success, generating 258 gifts, $56,506 raised, 81 first-time donors, 59 donors increasing their annual gifts, and unlocking a $15,000 matching gift—far surpassing the original goal.
