Multi-Campus Solution Increases Engagement for UTAA

The University of Tennessee Alumni Association (UTAA) needed a better way to engage alumni across its multi-campus system. Alumni identified more strongly with their individual campuses than with the system-wide association, and UTAA’s non-branded website structure made it difficult to drive traffic, encourage profile updates, and manage communications effectively. iModules’ Encompass Enterprise was used to address these challenges.

iModules implemented sealed sub-communities within Encompass Enterprise for each campus, giving UTAA campus-specific branding, segmented communications, and integrated online giving while still sharing data across one system. The results were strong: VolsConnect.com saw a 248% increase in traffic, nearly 13,000 alumni submitted update forms in 18 months, and online giving increased 50% in 2013, with similar growth projected for 2014.
