McMaster University Gains Back Lost Online Donors with iModules

McMaster University’s Alumni Association, a longtime advancement organization for the university, was losing momentum with its online fundraising in 2011. Its outdated giving page was causing a 29% decline in online gift transactions and a 20% drop in dollars raised versus the previous year, prompting the team to look for a better digital giving experience with iModules.

Working with iModules and its Donations and email marketing tools, McMaster launched a redesigned online giving platform with features like a guided donation flow, embedded video, matching gift search, and streamlined forms. The new setup helped lift results quickly, driving an 87% increase in gifts and a 107% increase in dollars raised, while a two-day campaign brought in $158,156.05 from more than 700 donations. By 2016, overall online dollars were up 226% and transactions were up 156%, and McMaster also saw strong crowdfunding growth through iFundMac.
