UK Police upskills staff with Immersive Labs

The National Police Chiefs’ Council needed to rapidly upskill thousands of UK police staff in cybersecurity across all levels but found in‑person training unviable. To deliver high-volume, on-demand content that fit around shift patterns, they partnered with Immersive Labs and its human cyber readiness platform, using cloud-based challenge labs to make training accessible anywhere.

Immersive Labs provided 99 licenses per UK region, giving forces 24/7 access to unlimited labs and enabling managers to create targeted objectives. In the first 12 months this approach delivered measurable impact: 8,000 hours of training, over 2,000 labs completed, 5,000 objectives created for 268 users, and a quarter of activity occurring outside core hours — boosting flexibility, skills development and incident-response readiness via Immersive Labs’ platform.
