GITAC Joins Forces with Immersive Labs to Disrupt National Cyber Drills

The Georgian Information and Technology Analysis Center (GITAC) is a non‑profit focused on advancing digital transformation and cyber resilience for Georgia’s critical information infrastructure. Facing outdated, costly paper‑based and tabletop exercises and vendors that limited access or demanded expensive custom scenarios, GITAC sought a modern, customizable platform to simulate realistic cyber‑attacks — ultimately partnering with Immersive Labs and using Immersive Labs’ Cyber Drills and hands‑on labs.

GITAC implemented Immersive Labs’ interactive Cyber Drills to run the country’s first nationwide crisis simulation, involving nearly 100 stakeholders from national and sectoral regulators and critical sectors. The Immersive Labs solution created a realistic National Infrastructure Collapse scenario that exposed decision‑making and collaboration gaps, drove overwhelmingly positive participant feedback, and was rated highly effective by the National Information and Cybersecurity Center. As a result, GITAC reported increased preparedness and resilience, a shift toward continuous, hands‑on learning, and plans to scale Georgian‑language scenarios and annual national cyber crises simulations with Immersive Labs.
