GITAC Joins Forces with Immersive Labs to Disrupt National Cyber Drills

GITAC, a Georgian non-profit founded by David Shavgulidze and Giorgi Gurgenidze focused on advancing digital transformation and cyber resilience for Critical Information Infrastructure, faced outdated, costly tabletop and paper-based cyber training that left public and private sectors ill-prepared for large-scale threats. To modernize national cyber drills and secure customizable, hands-on simulations, GITAC partnered with Immersive Labs and selected Immersive Labs’ Cyber Drills and hands-on labs to deliver an interactive, realistic training platform.

Using Immersive Labs’ platform, GITAC ran Georgia’s first nationwide interactive cyber drill—bringing nearly 100 stakeholders from national and sectoral regulators and critical sectors into a simulated National Infrastructure Collapse scenario. The Immersive Labs-powered exercise drove strong, measurable outcomes: overwhelmingly positive participant feedback, the National Information and Cybersecurity Center calling the event “highly effective,” improved cross-sector preparedness and decision-making, and commitments to establish annual national cyber crisis simulations and further scenario development with Immersive Labs.
