Darktrace faced the challenge of onboarding a highly diverse security workforce with varying levels of cybersecurity experience: their existing training focused mainly on using Darktrace products and didn’t build broader, hands-on cyber skills. To address this gap, Darktrace partnered with Immersive Labs and adopted the Immersive Labs platform to deliver continuous, practical upskilling beyond product-specific training.

Immersive Labs implemented a mandatory six-month onboarding program combining scheduled platform lab time, internal training, and monthly topic modules, plus customizable career paths, leaderboards, and rich reporting. The result was rapid adoption and measurable impact: Darktrace completed over 12,500+ labs with an average of 57.8 hours per user, achieved a 9% increase in MITRE ATT&CK techniques covered, improved visibility into skills gaps, and boosted engagement and equitable access to training across the team.
