A iMIS Case Study
The Royal College of Emergency Medicine, which sets training standards and runs examinations for over 5,000 Members and Fellows worldwide, faced an aging legacy membership database and relied on spreadsheets to track applications and exams. The College needed online member access, digital management of applications and examinations, and external support for project management because it had limited in‑house IT resources.
After a competitive tender the College selected ASI and the iMIS platform; ASI provided both implementation and the project management the College lacked. iMIS enabled online member profiles, streamlined exam and application workflows, replaced a six‑page paper application (saving about 90 hours for one exam and roughly four months of work per year across all exams), improved staff productivity, increased member engagement, and was delivered on time and on budget.
