Product Liability Advisory Council - Customer Case Study

The Product Liability Advisory Council (PLAC) is a nonprofit of more than 100 product manufacturers and 350 defense counsels formed in 1983 to address product liability and complex litigation. PLAC wanted to offer “large association” services despite a very small staff, requiring a solution with strong power, usability, supportability and web integration — and an implementation that would deliver visible value on time and on budget.

Using iMIS (implemented with ASI and an Authorized iMIS Solution Provider), PLAC added web-based member services—searchable directory and self-service profile editing, online conference registration and payments, file-sharing communities—and enhanced reporting to track recruiting and target prospects. The system was completed on time and on budget, enabled PLAC to operate without in-house IT, and improved record-keeping and member-service efficiency.
