The Law Society of South Australia, a professional body supporting lawyers and access to justice since 1879, faced an outdated CRM and fragmented systems that relied on Excel/Access and manual scheduling—one staff member managed trust account inspections by hand. This lack of a centralised platform hindered the Society's ability to handle high transaction volumes, improve service, and adapt processes efficiently.
By implementing iMIS and the RISE platform the Society consolidated memberships, renewals, annual practising certificates, marketing and reporting, and launched a personalised member website. Automation and secure, no-code configuration enabled in-house updates, faster reporting and better self‑service; as a result staff productivity and transparency improved, costs fell, and the annual practising certificate renewal cycle was cut from three months to under two weeks.
