CPABC Tracks Member Progress in Courses and Certifications

Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia (CPABC) is the province’s largest accounting organization, serving nearly 11,000 members and 1,800 students and acting as the regulatory body for public practice firms. Facing no online presence and a fragile, custom FoxPro database, CPABC needed an out‑of‑the‑box system that could support its unique regulatory membership model, standardize data entry, and avoid expensive customization.

CPABC implemented iMIS as a centralized database to manage admissions, annual certifications, professional development, firm licensing, peer reviews and disciplinary hearings, while enabling members to purchase courses, submit certifications, update profiles and pay dues online. The platform increased member engagement through convenient self‑service and online payments and freed staff from many manual tasks, improving overall productivity.
