A iMIS Case Study
Chalice is a Catholic ministry that supports more than 45,000 children through 55 sponsor sites in 15 countries, relying on monthly sponsorships and donations. The organization struggled with a rigid proprietary system that required duplicate data entry at sponsor sites, limited visibility into children’s needs and correspondence, and lacked tools to measure performance and honor sponsor preferences.
Implementing iMIS gave sponsor sites remote access to enter data directly, improved constituent communications and tracking, and provided real-time fundraising and reporting. The system saves 4–5 staff days per month, contributed to 7% annual growth over five years without hiring additional data-entry staff, raised retention to about 95%, improved transparency and trustworthiness, and enabled expansion of relief efforts to Haiti.
