A iMIS Case Study
The Association of Baccalaureate Social Work Program Directors (BPD), a voluntary membership organization founded in 1975 representing BSW program directors, faculty, field coordinators and practitioners, struggled with fragmented Excel-based member data and a static website. Corrupted spreadsheets passed among volunteers made membership verification impossible for conference registration, and the association lacked effective tools to communicate and engage with members.
BPD implemented iMIS to centralize member and prospect data, enable online dues and conference registration, manage content and documents, and support dynamic member communications and networking. Since adopting iMIS, membership has grown by more than 30%, event management and membership verification are efficient, and members, staff and volunteers report improved access, engagement and convenience.
