Amnesty International Uses Marketing Segmentation to Secure Donors

Amnesty International Canada, part of the global Amnesty movement defending human rights, faced a challenge of under‑utilizing its iMIS system: the organization had been “maintaining” rather than leveraging new features, needed better cross‑department reporting and workflows, and sought more efficient donor communications and receipt generation.

Working with ASI, Amnesty completed a technical audit and a performance‑improvement roadmap, implemented customized dashboards and marketing segmentation, and adopted regular check‑ins to stay on track. The changes streamlined reporting and workflows across teams and automated donor communications—enabling the organization to handle more than 45,000 annual receipts for monthly donors—and earned Amnesty International Canada an iMIS Great Things Award.
